Derek Gores

Florida based artist, Derek Gores’ art work often appears at first glance to be an almost photo realistic image; then, on closer inspection, reveal themselves to be made up of a complex and intricate collage of recycled materials from photos, magazines, maps and other items.
Derek’s commissions often incorporate items that personalise the art work in order to demonstrate the heritage or background of the hotel, yacht or other private collector’s space. This can include historical images, menus, song lyrics or other materials that make each piece completely unique. Derek is considered part of the New Contemporary Movement and exhibits with top galleries internationally.
